John Holohan President and CEO
The engine behind the operation, John Holohan, is a New York City native that has been able to translate his multi-ethnic background into a successful business career.
Born on the Upper West Side of Manhattan John is one of 11 children (9 boys and 2 girls) born to a traditional Irish family. He married his childhood sweetheart, Diana, of Puerto Rican descent, with whom he has two beautiful daughters.
He began working for Mercantile Stores in New York in 1984 as a computer operator. Soon, Holohan moved with the company to Cincinnati, Ohio when corporate headquarters were relocated there. In a few years Holohan had become the company’s Chief Information Officer by the time he left Mercantile Stores in 1996 to start his own consulting firm.
In 1999 Holohan left Cincinnati and returned to his roots in the New York area taking a job opportunity as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer with Toys R’ Us. Holohan stayed at the international giant until October 2004 when he decided to take up on a new challenge by breaking into the recording industry.
His decision gave birth to JKH Entertainment in the year 2005. Initially the company has focused primarily on the Latin Music world, however, its corporate foci is quite eclectic, and has no imposed limitations.
Holohan’s way of life permeates the company and its philosophy. He believes in “hiring quality people to run the business, quality acts to build upon and delivering high quality music to the public.”
